Lot 4 1794 C-1a R3 Large Edge Letters NGC graded MS63 Brown.Choice frosty uniform medium chocolate brown and steel. Sharply struck with smooth, nearly mark-free surfaces. The only notable defects are a tiny nick-like planchet chip over the 1 in the date, a dull scratch left of the F in OF, and a light scratch left of the denominator. None of these marks is at all distracting and this piece offers outstanding eye appeal. LDS, Manley state 3.0, showing obvious die clashmarks on both sides. The reverse is rotated 20 degrees CCW.
