Description du lot
1855 Pattern Flying Eagle Cent. Judd-168, Pollock-193. Rarity-4. Bronze. Plain Edge. Proof-61 BN (NGC). The obverse design features an eagle in full flight to the left, with the date below and surrounded by thirteen stars. For the reverse a closed laurel wreath is seen with ONE /CENT and the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA surrounding. Handsome blended dark and lighter chocolate toning on both sides with a bold strike on all the feathers and leaves. A few minor edge chips and a couple of nicks are found when closely examined, but the eye appeal is quite high for the modest grade. PCGS# 11720.
