1860-S Three-Dollar Gold Piece. AU-50 (NGC). <td />Overall light wear and scattered abrasions do little more than confirm a short stint in active circulation for this key-date Three. Considerable luster remains, and even khaki-gold color is seen throughout. More elusive than the 1855-S, 1856-S and 1857-S, the 1860-S is the rarest of the early date Threes from the San Francisco Mint.
