Lot Description
From the Premier Barber Collection. Tied for FINEST GRADED. Sheer perfection! The term SUPERB, does not even begin to describe this coin! Full beaming mirrors are blazing in the light. They are deeply reflective and offer an amazing depth of clarity that is simply booming! Graced on both sides with bands of cobalt, aqua, amber-orange, and rich gold on the obverse. The reverse has a soft golden tone that is deeper at the rims and clear-golden at the centers. Sharply struck throughout, this PR68 is, as you would expect, PRISTINE and flawless! Only 846 proofs were struck. PCGS 2, NGC 2, CAC 3. The other PCGS coin is the Clapp-Eliasberg-Gardner Collection coin, that sold in November 2015, realizing $14,570. Bound for the FINEST set of Proof Barber dimes and we can see this BEAUTIFUL jewel selling for a record price! Cert. Number 85165774 PCGS # 4883
