On Target Collection. Mintage: 54,617. 13 graded Fine-15, 83 higher at PCGS. The first half-dollar emission from Carson City took place in 1870, placing undue demand on this aggressively popular key, especially in the face of a low mintage and poor survival rate. Here is an astonishing representative that proves desirable both in terms of bold overall detail, and also the amazingly pleasant level of original surface quality. Marvelous caramel-grey mixes with deeper accents to present this fabled CC emission in all its glory.
