1785 Connecticut Copper. Miller 5-F.5, W-2385. Rarity-4. Mailed Bust Right. VF-20. 146.6 grains. Chestnut-brown surfaces reveal the tell-tale signs of a long ago cleaning though Mother Nature has gently retoned both sides. Tiny obverse rim clip at 12 o'clock, old diagonal scratch after final C in obverse legend, both sides nicely centered, reverse rim tight to bottoms of 785 in date, through 1, and then tight again to top of I of INDE. Faint microgranularity engages both sides when seen under low magnification. PCGS# 316.
