Lot Description

A lovely AU Draped Bust cent, intriguing due to the mint error, discernible through the track of border denticles just behind Liberty's eye. No other evidence for the double strike is seen on either side, but the aforementioned border denticles are conclusive in this regard. Warmly and evenly toned in autumn-brown and flint gray, the former representing faded mint color in some instances. The surfaces are hard, tight and pleasingly smooth. The error is not noted on the PCGS insert.
