- Glenna Goodacre was the designer of the Sacagawea dollar obverse. She was owed $5,000 for her work by the Federal government and was paid in Sacagawea dollars, each given a special non-Cameo prooflike finish. She had the coins specifically holdered by the major grading services and they have become very popular amongst collectors.
