Lot Description

LM-6. One of the finest Capped Bust half dimes we have offered in our sales. A glorious PQ GEM! The frosty satin luster glows under a layer of truly original pastel blue and gold toning. The surfaces are smooth and the devices are sharply struck up. The eye appeal of this coin is VERY HIGH END and belongs in a wonderful type or half dime set. PCGS 5, NGC 14, CAC 5. The most recent PCGS MS66 to sell in auction was the Foxfire-Pogue coin that realized $9,400 in May 2015, and another example in the Pogue Collection realized $7,050.
