Lot Description

On Target Collection. Judd-237 (R.5). Often referred to as the "French head", the obverse depicts a classically proportioned bust of Liberty offset a bit left within the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA legend. The reverse will seem familiar to collectors who recognize a similar wreath on the reverse of the 1860 and later Seated dime series. NGC has detected a bit too much handling to permit a grade above PR-58, with evidence of a couple of light, stray marks on the portrait as well as trivial abrasions beneath DOLLAR on the reverse.
