Lot Description

1773 Virginia Halfpenny. Newman 27-J, W-1585. URS-11. Period After GEORGIVS. MS-64 RD (NGC). Lovely light-red color to both sides, a bit of pale gray-brown tinting to isolated areas being easily overlooked at most angles. Both sides exhibit a vibrant satin to semi prooflike finish that is undisturbed by detracting abrasions. Boldly defined from a nicely centered and well executed strike.
