1869 Two-Cent Piece. Proof-65 BN (PCGS). CAC. This is a richly toned Gem, both sides bathed in a blend of warm antique gold and copper-rose patina. So much for what the coin looks like when turned away from a direct light source. At more direct angles, the surfaces exhibit not only modest reflective tendencies in the fields, but more vivid toning in iridescent gold and powder blue. An original and inviting piece for the high grade Proof type or date collector.
