Lot Description

1869-S Liberty Half Eagle. AU-53 (NGC). Toned with traces of copper-rose around the periphery, with the centers lighter yellow-gold. An average strike with softness on the central reverse, and the surfaces show the normal abrasions from commerce. Mintage of 31,000 pieces for the year, with perhaps a few hundred known today.
