Tompkins Die Stage 5/6, Rea et al. Die State d, Rarity-6+. The (partially) retained cud on the reverse has been worn smooth, but projections along its base confirm the Rea et al. die state and, as such, also confirm that this is not a full cud. An exceedingly rare die state for this Browning number, nonetheless, and represented here by a warmly toned, rather pleasing, if heavily circulated example.
