An impressive GEM 1909 Barber quarter that is tied for second FINEST graded. A satiny, lustrous mint frost glimmers across the velvety smooth surfaces. Sharply struck up, the devices and fields are enhanced by bold cartwheels. A dusting of pearly silver, amber-gold, and olive-russet adds an outstanding touch of character. PCGS 23, NGC 10, CAC 6. There are just three in MS66+ and three finer. The most recent example sold for $2,600 in February 2020, and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,500.
