1854 Octagonal 50 Cents. BG-305. Rarity-4-. Liberty Head. AU-58 (PCGS). OGH. Crudely reeded edge. Gold-plated over lesser gold. Bright lemon-gold with olive and sky-blue iridescence throughout. A popular Period One issue from the firm of Frontier, Deviercy & Co., though without their usual FD maker's mark. Die State I: "Perfect dies." PCGS# 10425. Provenance: From the Ronald Lyle Collection.
