- 1802.2 over 1. NGC graded MS-60. This is the only coin in its grade category by NGC, with 16 graded higher. Naturally, this is one of the best to survive from the tiny mintage of 3,035 for the entire date. The obverse shows very little evidence of the overdate, while the reverse is familiar, with the die scratch from the left top of the shield to the eagle’s wing and a light die scratch from the middle of the first A in AMERICA to the second feather of the right wing.
We note light coppery toning on the high points of the obverse, and some faint adjustment marks at the center of the reverse. Moderate handling marks expected for the grade, nothing too bothersome or problematic. All in all, a first rate coin for the advanced numismatist.
Estimated Value.$11,000-13,000
