Lot 330 1852 N-12 R1 Repunched 18 NGC graded MS64 Brown.Lustrous light greenish olive with hints of light bluish steel overtone. No spots or stains, and the only marks are a small nick on the rim at star 4 and a tiny tick on the upright of the 1. A beautiful "greenie." MDS, die state b. The repunching on the 18 is gone except for the faintest trace of a dash remaining visible under the left end of the base of the 1, and a dull die crack connects the bust tip to star 1 (Newcomb's old #13). Our grade is MS60+. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the NGC label. NGC population 9; 6 finer: 4 in 65, 2 in 66.
