1850 Liberty Head Half Eagle. AU-55 (NGC). Rich olive-gold patina is seen both sides, and the devices show bold to sharp detail over virtually all features. The 1850 is one of the scarcer and more conditionally challenging Philadelphia Mint half eagles of its era, with a mintage of just 64,491 pieces. Provenance: From the Blue Ridge Mountains Portfolio.
