Lot Description: FROM THE WOLVERINE COLLECTION. This is a GORGEOUS, Premium Quality GEM Proof example of the first year of the Indian cent design. This coin is among the absolute finest of this short lived subtype. Highly reflective surfaces are wonderfully toned with sky blue, pinkish-rose, and olive overtones over the original tan-gold of the Copper-nickel planchet. The mirrors are deep and flashy and they contrast against the frosted and razor sharp devices that stand out with bold cameo effect. There are no sizable flecks, carbon, or any distractions that have an impact on the SUPERB eye appeal.
