Lot Description

Walk The Plank Collection. Breen-Gillio-216 (R.6). This is the only original round "period 1" 1/4 variety in the series and it is also a very rare entry in the BG reference. The strike is shallow as always, and may have come off of very late, repolished dies as sizable breaks (compared to the diameter of the coin) show left of the neck, and the face has somewhat merged into the surrounding fields. DOLLAR and 1854 are always found weak on the reverse.
