Lot Description

A noteworthy and rare second offering for the key date 1929 double eagle in this sale. Lustrous surfaces are satiny in texture with lovely rose-orange gold color throughout. Both sides and uncommonly well composed for the assigned grade and remain free of sizeable or otherwise singularly distracting marks. This sharply struck and visually appealing Select-quality example will do nicely in an advanced collection of Mint State Saints.
