1898-O Barber Quarter. MS-63 (PCGS). Rich steel-rose toning blends with softly frosted luster, both sides further enhanced by a generally full strike. As with all early date New Orleans Mint Barber quarter issues, the 1898-O circulated heavily. The scarce Mint State survivors, as here, were largely saved by chance and represent significant bidding opportunities on the infrequent occasions that they appear at auction.
