Lot Description
A high Condition Census O-110, one of the FINEST KNOWN examples of this Rarity-3 die pairing. Incredibly lustrous surfaces gleam with a full, swirling cartwheel brilliance highlights the CHOICE Mint State surfaces on both sides. Dripping with luster in the centers, and framed on both sides by a delicate old album type toning, this 1819 half dollar has a high end look that oozes with stone bold originality. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 21, NGC 15, CAC 6. Another NGC MS63 CAC example of this die pairing sold in the September 2016 sale of the Hamilton Collection, realizing $5,405. Today the CAC CPG value is listed at $5,620 and the Collectors Universe value is $5,750. It would not be a shock to us if this exceptional coin brought a similar price when the hammer finally falls. It is VERY HIGH END and ultra visually alluring for the assigned grade. Cert. Number 6471820001 PCGS # 6117
