- 1819 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-108. Rarity-3. MS-62 (PCGS). Uniformly lustrous and satiny with golden-bronze and navy iridescence throughout. The central elements show an exceptional sharpness and remain impressively free of handling. Nicely composed beneath a glass with smooth fields for the assigned grade. This is a significant survivor from these dies that rivals the MS-63 examples on the tail end of the Condition Census. It is traceable back over 46 years to our sale of the Winter Collection and is now available to a new generation of collectors for the first time in decades.
