Intensely Vivid 1948 Washington Quarter Single Finest at PCGS 1948 Washington Quarter. MS-68+ (PCGS). CAC. This captivating Superb Gem really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. The obverse is exceptionally vivid with a full endowment of intense steel-lilac, salmon-pink and golden-olive iridescence. The reverse is largely silver tinged, yet enhanced by a nearly complete halo of crimson-orange iridescence around the periphery. Serene surfaces are fully frosted in finish and temptingly close to numismatic perfection. It is little wonder that this extraordinary coin is the single finest 1948 quarter known to PCGS.
