Lot Description
1920 Lincoln Cent. MS-67 RD (PCGS). This beautiful example would serve as a highlight in the finest collection. Lustrous surfaces display a blend of tangerine and apricot with richer pink on the reverse. A subtle "woodgrain" pattern is noted in the obverse fields. The strike is full, the texture smooth and satiny, and the eye appeal is extraordinary. Despite a large mintage, as with so many classic United Sates Mint issues, there comes a grade level at and above which the 1920 develops into a significant condition rarity, and that level is MS-66+ RD. As a solidly graded and aesthetically pleasing Superb Gem, this is one of the finest examples of the issue that we have ever handled, and it is sure to see spirited bidding among both advanced Lincoln cent enthusiasts and high quality type collectors. PCGS Population: 18; 1 finer. PCGS# 2524. NGC ID: 22C3. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
