THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION ZIPPY flash and cartwheel luster. Blazing brilliance with just a whisper of soft peach and gold overtones. Very sharply struck devices. Some well concealed marks are what are keeping this piece from a higher grade. Under a loupe, one notices a couple of contact marks in the folds of the drapery and one between stars 2 and 3. WB-7, Rarity-3. Known as the AMERICAI variety due to the die crack and later cud that has developed on the right side of the top of the final A in AMERICA. A myriad of die cracks are noted on both sides, but the most pronounced are on the reverse. PCGS 8, NGC 11. PCGS Price Guide is $4,500. An example sold in April 2019 for $3,360 (but it was ugly with dark toning). White examples are few and far between, so expect this piece to fetch a strong price. Cert.
