1871 Pattern Dime. Judd-1085, Pollock-1220. Rarity-6+. Copper. Reeded Edge. Proof-66 RB (NGC). Obv: Longacre's Liberty&nbsp;as Indian Princess seated&nbsp;left on a globe, ribbon on globe reads LIBERTY in <em>raised </em>letters, furled flags behind, liberty pole with cap in right hand, 13 stars around, date below. Rev: the regular-issue reverse of the era. The fiery deep orange-red surfaces of this appealing Gem exhibit lively neon-blue highlights in a bold light source. the strike is deep and bold,&nbsp;with even the tiniest design element nicely presented.&nbsp;The present specimen is <strong><em>the finest example of Judd-1085 certified by NGC within any color designation.</em></strong> Choice for the grade and no doubt as fine an example of&nbsp;Judd-1085 as you are ever apt to see, especially in a NGC holder.
