Description du lot: FROM THE FORMULA 1 COLLECTION. Earlier ex Greensboro Collection, Part VI; Dr. Steven L Duckor; and Dale Friend Collections. The SOLE FINEST 1913-S half graded at either service and boasting a provenance that includes some of the most famous names in Barber half dollar collections assembled in the last 15 years. Delicate pastel gold with accents of pale blue and lemon yellow that compliment the subtle reflectivity in the fields The devices are well struck and the surfaces are clean on both sides, showing just a few minor ticks and hints of contact. The eye appeal is very nice and memorable for sure. PCGS 1, NGC 0. Selling in the Duckor sale (2010 ANA auction) for $43,125 and again in the October 2015 sale of the Greensboro Collection for $21,150. Today, the Collector's Universe value is listed at $24,500 and we think that today, this coin could well bring that or more. As the FINEST 1913-S half, this SUPERB coin is worthy of a high end set!
