Lot Description

1849-O Gold Dollar. Winter-1. MS-64 (NGC). Both sides of this high-end near-Gem display lemon-gold color over highly lustrous surfaces lending a fully original appearance. The design elements are sharply struck, especially on the obverse, which is typical for the issue, however, even the reverse exhibits a sharp strike in the center, an area that is often very weak due to subsequent die lapping.
