Lot Description

1858-C Liberty Half Eagle. Winter-1. AU-58 (NGC). Deep orange gold with some subdued luster. Nicely struck for the date with some honest wear the only softening of the devices. From a mintage of 38,856 pieces, making for a date that is available to some degree in AU and finer, as here. Not appreciably marked and notable as such.
