1795 Grate Halfpenny. Musante GW-49, Baker-29B, W-10955. Large Buttons. Copper. Reeded Edge. MS-62 RB (PCGS). Iridescent olive-brown patina mingles with vivid mint orange color on both sides of this lovely piece. Boldly struck in most areas, the surfaces are generally smooth in hand with only a few faint toning spots precluding a Choice Mint State grade. This is a popular Conder token that has long since been "adopted" by American collectors who specialize in colonial and Washington-related coins. PCGS# 747. NGC ID: 2B7M.
