1899-O Barber Half Dollar. MS-65 (NGC). Gorgeous deep russet and blue toning has settled into the fields, a tad less on the devices. The strike is better than average with just a few shallow areas of striking on the usual reverse high points. Examination of the surfaces finds little to fault, as handling marks or bag issues are minimal, keeping the technical grade high along with the eye appeal. One of the finer examples seen by NGC and a prize for the date specialist. NGC Census: 5; 8 finer (MS-66 finest) in all designations. PCGS# 6484.
