Lot Description

The time-honored, traditional criteria for the Fine grade has been that all seven letters of LIBERTY are present, and that is the case here, despite the PCGS VG-10 assessment. It is true that each of the letters is not 100% complete, but to your favorite cataloger's way of thinking, 6-3/4 letters is sufficiently close to 7 warrant the full grade. Even E PLURIBUS UNUM is essentially legible on the reverse, so what could be the meaning of the under-grade? A silent "net"? Buy this coin, get it upgraded, and then you may revel in your clever ingenuity.
