Lot Description

A very difficult type to find nice, many are low grade or with problematic surfaces. This is a very pleasing circulated grade example that is above average for the date. Nice, hard surfaces have a pleasing glossiness to them. A few ancient marks blend into the surfaces, and they do not detract from the eye appeal. Only 389,000 were struck. PCGS 28, NGC 15. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $2,100 and recent examples have sold in the $1,560 to $2,291 range. A very scarce coin indeed! Cert. Number 82241366 PCGS # 1621
