Lot Description

Miller 43.1-Y, W-4250. This is the only die variety that features the misspelled CONNFC legend. Considered to be R-2 as a variety, this lovely AU coin is likely in the condition census for the variety. Pleasing glossy brown surfaces are smooth and hard, devoid of the typical roughness or issues that plague Connecticut coppers. Both sides are well struck and well centered, imparting a great visual allure. PCGS 4, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin sold in 2017 for nearly $2,000. This one is worthy of a very strong bid, it rivals the PCGS MS61 example that sold in the Robert Martin Collection (November 2019), ex Eric P. Newman Collection, at $3,840.
