1875-CC Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter 1-B. VF-35 (PCGS). CAC. Warmly and evenly patinated in straw-gold, this is an exceptionally smooth and uncommonly attractive coin in a mid-grade half eagle from the earlier years of Carson City Mint production. Much of the modest mintage of 11,828 pieces for the 1875-CC half eagle saw prolonged use in commerce and VF is a typical grade for the 90 to 120 or so survivors.
