O-102. With just a touch of friction on the surfaces, this CHOICE AU early Capped Bust half dollar is a great representative of this popular overdate. Pleasing olive-tan, russet-silver, and tinges of gray-gold are dusted across the generally problem free surfaces. Accents of original luster come through the patina in the protected areas of the design. The visual allure will please any collector of this popular series. PCGS 19, NGC 9. The last non-CAC PCGS AU58 sold in auction back in the 2017 ANA auction, realizing $3,290. Prior to that, one sold in April 2016 for $3,878. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,000.
