1794 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent / Promissory Halfpenny Mule. Fuld Mule-2, W-8670. Rarity-4. Copper. LIVERPOOL Edge. MS-64 BN (PCGS). 164.1 grains. A lovely example with fully lustrous medium brown surfaces that retain some mint red in the letters of LIBERTY. Exceptional quality throughout with only a few trivial abrasions and traces of slightly imperfect planchet texture visible with a glass. The typically seen edge lettering that reads: PAYABLE AT THE WAREHOUSE LIVERPOOL XXX. None have been graded higher at PCGS. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
