Lot Description

The Bootheel Collection. Overton-102, and the XXX edge can be confirmed "through the plastic". The final star has a scalloped point close to the curl, and the next point has been strongly recut. On the reverse, the bottom of "U" in UNITED is broadly recut, but more readily visible is the sequence of die defects in the field over the eagle. Although lightly cleaned, pale and a little chalky, both sides retain a very fair amount of luster, with sparkling effect noticeable between the stars. Minor random marks and very delicate pin scratches do not detract overall.
