1849-O Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-6. Rarity-3. MS-61 (NGC). A shimmering array of amber, russet, and merlot hues paint the lustrous surfaces of this Uncirculated example. The devices are well struck and partially frosted, with a stippling of die rust (as struck) visible across much of Miss Liberty on the obverse. The fields offer a satiny complexion, with suggestions of prooflike reflectivity apparent in some areas. Mostly unscathed and free from most distracting blemishes. The Large O variety is scarce adding collector interest to this splendid coin. An impressive example in every regard from the ever popular New Orleans Mint. PCGS# 6263. NGC ID: 24HF.
