A lovely GEM Proof Barber quarter. Richly, and originally toned in wonderful mottled golden, olive, amber, and lilac hues that delicately cover vivid, watery reflective fields that are clean and sleek. Housed in an old green tag holder, this coin is as original and eye appealing as can be. We do not know why it did not bean! Only 575 Proofs were struck. PCGS 10, NGC 15. There are just five coins graded finer. The Population Report has to be wrong: the only non-CAC PCGS graded example to sell in auction since 1999 sold in November 2017 for a ridiculously cheap price! The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $3,350 and this coin should bring a stronger bid. What a great looking coin for any one looking for a SUPERB GEM that is original. Cert.
