1869 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. Proof-65 (NGC). Handsome antique toning of a perfect blend of gunmetal-blue and gray with iridescent accents on both sides. The strike imparted the frosty devices to perfection and these are naturally offset by the glistening mirror fields. Free of all but minute signs of contact and a prize for the specialist who appreciates quality and eye appeal. Gems of this date are quite scarce, with most of those known falling into grade ranges a few points below this lofty level. PCGS# 7017.
