1857-O Liberty Half Eagle. AU-55 (NGC). A low mintage date that records a mere 13,000 struck for the year. Most of these disappeared long ago. Greenish-gold hints in the planchet, and toned around the devices with copper accents. The strike is average with minor softness on the central reverse. Rare this well preserved and an important offering for the New Orleans specialist.
