Lot Description

1710-D French Colonies 30 Deniers, or Mousquetaire. Lyon Mint. Vlack-2. Rarity-2. AU-55 (PCGS). Dominant silver-gray patina to both sides, with splashes of bolder blue-gray and sandy-tan iridescence scattered about, mostly near the borders. A touch of light verdigris to the right reverse border is noted, as is micro porosity to the planchet, but we see no significant abrasions. Sharply defined in most areas with flickers of original luster coming into view as the surfaces rotate under a light.
