Lot Description: 1796 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. B-5, BB-65. Rarity-4. BB Die State II. Large Date, Small Letters. VF-35 (PCGS). Light silver with slightly deeper gray fields. Smooth wear and nice surfaces for this die pairing. Middle die state with the lump at IC of AMERICA well developed but not touching the C as of yet. For identification purposes there is a small dig at the top of Liberty's neck and another in the field by the third star. Rather softly struck but all the lettering and stars are present in outline but not bold, as is sometimes seen on this die variety. Pleasing rims, surfaces, color and free of adjustment marks or surface problems that distract the eye. Scarce and desirable in every way. PCGS# 6861.
