Lot Description

With a mintage of 1,100, the 1873 Closed 3 is quite scarce in the RED designation, extremely RARE finer than the GEM offered here. Brilliant orange-red color is visually enhanced by a watery-reflective flashy mirrored finish. Sharply struck, this GEM has a nice look. PCGS 30, NGC 7. The most recent example sold in May 2022 for $2,040. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,500. EXTREMELY RARE finer, there are just three finer in the designation. Cert.
