Totally natural and original toning caresses the watery mirrored fields on both sides of this essentially GEM quality Proof trade dollar. Impressively smooth, glassy fields maintain wonderful reflection. Soft gold, lilac, and rose tones are gently dusted across the surfaces, richer at the peripheries and lighter in the center. A very eye appealing example of this Proof-only date. PCGS 167, NGC 165, CAC 19. There are 5 in PR64+, the most recent example sold in our April 2018 Premier Session for $3,960 and prior to that, we sold one for $4,230 in our December 2017 Regency Auction.
