Lot Description
1866 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. Motto. OC-P2. Rarity-3. Proof-62 (PCGS). A fully struck example with a fair amount of field to device contrast suggestive of a Cameo designation. The overall appearance is very nice for the assigned grade level as hairlines take effort and direct angles in a light to view. Delicate reddish-gold peripheral highlights add visual appeal. Popular as the first date in the Motto Liberty Seated silver dollar series, the present example will be just right for a Proof type set. Provenance: From the Collection of Silas Stanley Roberts, 1888-1966. PCGS# 7014. NGC ID: 252M. Click here for certification details from PCGS. Image with the PCGS TrueView logo is obtained from and is subject to a license agreement with Collectors Universe, Inc. and its divisions PCGS and PSA.
